• After you’ve made your appointment, you can take steps to minimize pain, discomfort and bleeding. Use sterile gauze or clean cotton balls to absorb blood, which will usually slow and stop within 1-2 hours.
• You can also take some medicine like Advil or Tylenol to help mitigate pain and swelling. Applying an ice pack externally can also help you get relief from swelling and pain.
